I would prbably attempt to make a first quilt with some of the fabric but truthfully I couldn't keept it all to myself I would have to give most of the giveaway away to others and keep things positive and pay it forward... I think thats alot of what blogging and giveaways should be about. it would be nice to keep some but just as much fun to send it out into the world and see what amazing things can be made by better sewers than I. :o)

Wow, what an awesome and inspiring treasure trove of fabric. I must say that I'm excited for tomorrow's issue -- in part because it's a new issue and in part because it's my birthday (30!) so I'm viewing FQ #2 as a birthday present to me. That stack of fabric would make my birthday even better! That said, I'm looking forward to the daisy/irish chain quilt previewed recently. ReplyDeleteI think the Hoot range would be fun in a Flying Geese quilt - the triangles could be going in all different directions, or arranged and pointed like a tree. Ace giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI would use some of the fabric to make the reading cushions. I am working on a reading nook for both of my kids and this is a perfect project for the space!!!

ReplyDeleteSo what would I make ... Well from issue one I might just have another crack at pinwheels. I've tried before with some success (and a lot of frustration), but maybe this delicious fabric would inspire me to keep at it!

I was, in fact, just going through all my patterns on Sunday trying to pick the perfect one for "Punctuation" which is my most eagerly anticipated line right now. I'm thinking something with sawtooth stars, maybe... ::slips into quilt daydreaming::

I'd love to make the Bedtime Story quilt from FQ Issue one with the Hoot fabric; but wow, trying to decide what to do with all those fabrics would be a challenging, but delightful, task! I think I'd have to sit with them for awhile, or maybe roll around in them a bit, in order to make tough decisions. :) I'm awaiting the new issue and will be back with a second comment for sure!
